Terms and Conditions for Paying Online
Please read these terms carefully before using the online payments facility. Using the online payments facility on this website indicates that you accept these terms. If you do not accept these terms do not use this facility.
- Your payment will take a minimum of 3 working days to reach the account to which you are making a payment. (This includes time to verify your credit/debit card details with your credit/debit card supplier and for payment to be notified to the Council.) If your payment is overdue and recovery action is about to be taken, you should pay cash to the The Skills Academy.
- We can not accept liability for a payment not reaching the intended account due to a customer quoting an incorrect account number.
- We can not accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the credit/debit card supplier (due to the customer quoting incorrect card details or other reasons).
- If the credit/debit card supplier declines payment, The Skills Academy is under no obligation to bring this fact to the customer's attention. Customers should check with their bank/credit/debit card supplier that payment has been deducted from their account.
Confirmation of Payment
You will receive a confirmation of your payment by email as well as an on screen confirmation after you make the payment.
Cancellation and Termination
Fees are not refundable, nor can any reduction be made for absence. Once the course has commenced the person signing the enrolment form or applying online is liable for the fees for the whole course. If a fee payer wishes to cancel a reserved place on a course, 14 days clear notice in writing must be received by the Academy prior to the start date of that course. If such notice is not given, all fees will be due and payable. The Academy reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of students has not enrolled.
